Cluster meeting of the CC Authority Files and Community-driven Vocabularies

Invitation to the meeting on the january, 27 2026

The next cluster meeting on the topic of GND with Barbara Fischer will take place on January 27, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.. The Gemeinsame Normdatei (GND) is a service for the use and management of standard data on persons, corporations, conferences, geographical features, subject terms, and works. Until now, the GND has mainly been used in libraries, but it is now also increasingly being used in archives, museums, cultural and scientific institutions, and research projects. An invitation will be sent out in good time.

In 2026, the establishment of temporary working groups is also on the agenda. We would like to take this opportunity to cordially invite colleagues to participate in the TWG VocFlow, which will focus on workflows for vocabulary publication and maintenance. This TWG will be coordinated by Task Areas 5 and 6, and the proposal will be written in early 2026 and submitted to the Steering Committee.
