Task Area 1: Documentation asks for support

Data from the digital primary documentation of material legacies undergo a complex life cycle. The hardware and software used during the documentation process and the standards and guidelines to be taken into account in all process steps play a decisive role with regard to subsequent use.

The aim of the survey is to provide a comprehensive overview and user evaluation of the tools and standards used in various cultural studies disciplines for the digital documentation of material legacies. The results of the survey will be incorporated into the further prioritisation of the NFDI4Objects Task Area 1: Documentation. They form the basis for a collaborative exchange with the community, for example on well-functioning and accepted standards and workflows.
