SODa BarCamp 2025

7-9 April 2025

The SODa Barcamp took place in Nuremberg from 7-9 April 2025 (https://sammlungen.io/archive/soda-barcamp-2025). Our colleague @Kristina Fischer from Task Area 4 was there and gave insights into her practical work with controlled vocabularies, SKOS and the development of a conservation and restoration thesaurus. In addition to presenting their own work, it was also about exchanging ideas and networking. For three exciting days, topics relating to digitisation, collections and handling research data were discussed and different perspectives were explored.

Immediately after the SODa BarCamp, there was an intensive working meeting between the colleagues from N4O and SODa: together, the fresh impressions were used to work on the further development of an ontology for modelling conservation and restoration processes - a good example of how face-to-face events also create space for concrete collaboration.
