Inaugural meeting of the TWG CARE Principles

Invitation to the session on february 19, 2026

On January 16, 2026, the Steering Committee approved the establishment of a new TWG to address the CARE principles.

The TWG focuses on the CARE principles, which were developed in the field of open data and open science to ensure territorially bound, group-specific perspectives and digital access restrictions of indigenous peoples in research data management. They focus on collective benefit, control over data, responsible action, and ethical principles.

The constituent meeting will take place online on February 19, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
