Responsible Persons: Henrike Backhaus, Kai-Christian Bruhn, Donata Gerhards, Lennart Linde, Sandra Schröer-Sprang, Julia Tolksdorf, Robert Zwick
NFDI4Objects Qualification Service provides the specialist community with resources for teaching research data management (RDM) skills as well as integrating relevant content into training and teaching in a sustainable manner. Within Task Area 6, the results and discussions from all other task areas are bundled, systematically processed, and converted into open educational resources.
These resources include:
- Templates for creating OERs
- Scripts, presentations, practical exercises, as well as upcoming video content on various topics related to research data management. All open educational resources (OERs) are openly available and freely accessible (CC BY 4.0). They can be reused as desired under the given license conditions.
To facilitate the integration of RDM knowledge into teaching, TA 6 is developing a qualification framework that is specifically tailored to the needs and requirements of research on the material heritage of human history. It specifies the learning objective matrix developed by the NFDI for the subject area of RDM (Petersen et al. 2025). Based on the specifications in N4O, the qualification framework defines the necessary qualifications in various fields of application and distinguishes between levels and areas of competence.
Workshops, trainings, and various teaching formats continuously support the professional exchange on qualification measures in research data management. Furthermore, standards for FAIR OER in the field of NFDI4Objects are being developed and refined in collaboration with the N4O community within the community clusters “RDM Qualification and OER” and “RDM Support” in Task Area 6.
