TA 2: Collecting
Task Area 2 ‘Collecting’ (TA2) is dedicated to all questions of research data management (RDM) in connection with object collections. The aim is to establish quality-oriented data management processes within an integrated research data infrastructure that meets the specific requirements of object collections and their scientific contextualisation.
At the centre are five subject areas:
- Collection Management
- Digital provenance research
- Objects as inscription carriers
- Research software engineering
- Semantic modelling and linked open data
TA2 brings the community together in various formats - especially in community clusters and temporary working groups. In these, domain-specific questions and requirements of RDM are identified, discussed and practically implemented. This results in recommendations and standards for the digital recording and description of objects in collections.
