What Are Community Clusters

The governance structure of NFDI4Objects ensures transparent and participatory decision-making.

Exchange and Co-Design

NFDI4Objects emerged in close exchange with the community and continues to evolve together with it. Those who wish to contribute can do so primarily through the Community Clusters.

Community Clusters are open forums on various topics related to research data management. They provide a platform for subject-specific exchange, networking, and joint discussions. Here, needs can be articulated, experiences shared, and new ideas developed.

The Community Clusters (CC) are discussion forums on various topics related to research data management. They offer an open platform for all interested parties—both within and outside NFDI4Objects—to engage in dialogue. In addition to facilitating subject-specific exchange, they serve as hubs for networking and professional development. The Community Clusters support the consortium’s work program and enable the low-threshold integration of initiatives, needs, and impulses from the community.

The clusters accompany the consortium’s work and help to identify and address impulses from the community at an early stage.

Everyone interested is invited to participate in the Community Clusters. Meetings are usually held digitally. You can join at any time, contribute topics, help shape discussions, and make new contacts.

Founding a Community Cluster

If you want to establish a new topic within the community, you can form an initiative group with other interested parties to develop a short concept and present the project in advance to the consortium. The establishment of a Community Cluster is then decided by the steering group. After its founding, the new cluster is publicly announced and the first meeting can take place.
