Next Meeting of the TWG CARE Principles

1. Expert Talk

The next online meeting of the TWG CARE Principles will take place on April 22, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

The Expert Talks are a new format introduced by the TWG: publicly accessible presentations in which experts introduce and contextualize key topics related to the TWG CARE Principles, encouraging joint discussion.

The upcoming session will be opened by Prof. Dr. Wiebke Ahrndt with an Expert Talk on the topic: “Development of guidelines for handling collection items from colonial contexts, as well as previous experiences with indigenous cooperation projects in German cultural heritage institutions, for example at the Überseemuseum.”

Hosting: Romy Köhler, German Maritime Museum

Participation in the session will take place online via Zoom: https://dainst-org.zoom.us/j/99854437005?pwd=rtFhZInsdruQrG115k6bJxuK33C7HP.1
Meeting ID: 998 5443 7005
Passcode: 814698

Upcoming sessions also offer exciting insights: A presentation from the “Indigenous Rights” section is planned for May, followed by an invitation from the “Indigenous Cooperation” section in June.
