New Commons contribution ‘Proof of ownership in collections’ is available for comment
Cordial invitation to comment
A central element of our work is the creation of the NFDI4Objects commons. These are quality-assured and open-source publications from the CCs and TWGs. The results are created in a bottom-up process. This is why new contributions go through a public commenting phase, during which the entire community is invited to participate in constructive discussions and contribute to the high quality of our commons with their input!
From the TWG ‘Proof of Ownership in the Event of Loss: Use-Case for the Minimum Data Set’, the contribution ‘Documentation standards and proof of ownership in collections - a comparative overview’ is now online for comment in our Community Hub. By comparing existing documentation standards and case studies, the study determines which metadata uniquely identifies museum objects and formulates proposals for a possible adaptation of the recommendations for the minimal data set.
The TWG is looking forward to active participation from the community. Interested parties can read and comment on the article directly here. To use the comment function, a one-time registration with an e-mail address is required. The commenting phase runs for 4 weeks, i.e. up to and including Tuesday 16 September 2025.
