New TWG “Vocflow. Workflows for vocabulary publication and maintenance

On February 13, 2026, the Steering Committee NFDI4Objects decided to establish the TWG VocFlow. Workflows for the publication and maintenance of controlled vocabularies.
The task of this TWG is to clarify organizational processes that arise during the publication and maintenance of already created vocabularies, e.g.:
- How are existing vocabularies prepared for publication?
- What steps and roles are necessary for this?
- How can teams be coordinated and long-term maintenance ensured?
Best practice workflows are to be developed based on three practical examples from the consortium. The end result will be a white paper in workbook format that provides guidance and decision-making support.
