Berlin Autumn Meeting to discuss museum record-keeping

Dear colleagues,

The annual Berlin Autumn Meeting on Museum Documentation will take place from 5–7 October 2026.

This year, we will be focusing on the highly multi-perspective topic of “Documentation as a key driver for sustainable knowledge management”.

Key topics include:

• Vocabularies as bridges / Interdisciplinary approaches to scholarly documentation

• Vocabularies and data sovereignty / FAIR and CARE

• Vocabularies in practice and across different disciplines (natural history, ethnology, archaeology, etc.)

We warmly invite you to share your specialist expertise, experiences, lessons learnt and challenges with us. We welcome any submissions for a 20-minute presentation (including Q&A).

Please submit your ideas by 1 September 2026. We will review the proposals and provide you with feedback by 15 September 2026. Proposals can be sent by email to fg-dokumentation@museumsbund.de.
