Description:
Vocabularies used in academic museum documentation describe humanity’s tangible and intangible heritage. These artefacts of cultural heritage are preserved in over 7,000 museums. Museums use specialised vocabularies to describe these objects and their contexts. This service is supported by the Museum and Collections Community https://museumsvokabular.de/wer-wir-sind/. It enables staff at museums and collections to find their way around quickly. Furthermore, the records are, of course, also made available to other services. These vocabularies thus constitute an important tool for describing humanity’s tangible and intangible heritage in academic museum documentation.
