Publishing and Citing Digital Research:

The DAI’s CiVers project invites researchers from the NFDI4Objects community to take part in a survey on practices and expectations regarding the publication and citation of digital research data.

The CiVers (Citation of Versioned Web Pages by PID) run by the German Archaeological Institute (DAI) is conducting the survey ‘Publication and Citation of Digital Research Results’ as part of the NFDI4Objects community. We warmly invite all interested researchers to take part.

The survey aims to capture current practices, experiences and expectations regarding the handling of digital research data and online research resources, particularly with regard to their publication, sharing and citation. Topics include:

the publication and citation of research data, persistent identifiers (PIDs) such as DOIs, the FAIR principles, the role of digital infrastructures and web resources in scientific communication.

The results will help us to better understand researchers’ needs and priorities. On this basis, we aim to improve research data infrastructures and develop solutions that support the publication, citation, discoverability and long-term reuse of digital research resources.
