QGIS workshop for beginners
Workshop of the AG Digitalisierung of the Dachverband Archäologischer Studierendenvertretungen e.V. (DASV e.V.) with the support of NFDI4Objects
Since 2025, the Digitalization Working Group of the Dachverband Archäologischer Studierendenvertretungen e.V. (DASV e.V.) has been organizing a workshop series on QGIS for archaeologists.
Since the 2nd Workshop, the series has been held in cooperation with NFDI4Objects, with Kai-Christian Bruhn as instructor.

- The 90-minute workshops are aimed at beginners.
- No prior knowledge is required.
- Each workshop focuses on one main topic, while additional topic requests can be submitted in advance via a linked form.

The 4th QGIS Workshop organized by the Digitalization Working Group of DASV e.V. took place online via Zoom on July 16, 2026, at 6:00 PM (s.t.) in cooperation with Kai-Christian Bruhn from NFDI4Objects.
The workshop focused on digitizing and mapping in QGIS.

3rd QGIS Workshop – January 2026
The 3rd QGIS Workshop organized by the Digitalization Working Group of DASV e.V. took place online via Zoom on January 22, 2026, at 6:00 PM (s.t.) in cooperation with Kai-Christian Bruhn from NFDI4Objects.
The workshop focused on coordinate reference systems.

2nd QGIS Workshop – July 2025
The 2nd QGIS Workshop organized by the Digitalization Working Group of DASV e.V. took place online via Zoom on July 24, 2025, at 6:00 PM (s.t.) in cooperation with Kai-Christian Bruhn from NFDI4Objects.
The workshop introduced the fundamentals of geodata, geographic information systems, and Quantum GIS. Participants were also able to submit additional topic requests in advance via a form.

1st QGIS Workshop – January 2025
The first virtual QGIS Workshop organized by the Digitalization Working Group of DASV e.V. took place online via Zoom on January 31, 2025 and was organized by two students.
The workshop covered a basic introduction to QGIS as well as the development of a first small project.
